APPROVED LIQUID PENETRANT INSPECTION SERVICES
PWHT Solutions provides Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI), also known as Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT), to detect discontinuities that are open to the surface of a component. The method can be used on suitable non-porous materials, including stainless steel and other metals.
During inspection, the test surface is cleaned and a penetrant liquid is applied. After the specified dwell time, excess penetrant is removed and a developer is applied to make relevant surface indications visible. Our inspectors evaluate the indications against the agreed procedure and acceptance criteria.
