APPROVED MAGNETIC PARTICLE INSPECTION SERVICES
PWHT Solutions provides Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) for ferromagnetic components such as carbon steel welds, castings, forgings, and lifting equipment. This non-destructive testing method helps detect surface and near-surface discontinuities that may not be visible during a visual inspection.
During the inspection, the component is magnetized and magnetic particles are applied to the test area. Where a discontinuity interrupts the magnetic field, the particles form a visible indication for the inspector to evaluate. The technique and acceptance criteria are selected according to the component, material, and agreed inspection requirements.
